Estonian Open Air Museum

Based in Kopli Bayl, the Estonian Open Air Museum basically refers to the reconstruction of a historic Estonian rural fishing village dating back to the 18th century. The museum was established in 1957 and has 68 country houses built on a 79-hectare site with 72 buildings that are located separately in Rocca al Mare. Kadriorg Palace

In Tallinn, the ‘Catherine Valley’ or Catherinethal represents the Petrine Baroque of the first Russian Catherine, which was designed by Mikhail Zemtsov and Gaetano Chiaveri after the famous Great Northern War. Later, in 20th century Kadriorg, Catherinethal’s version in Estonian was adapted, which explains why the place is now known as Kadriorg Palace. St. Olaf’s Church

Before Denmark conquered Tallinn, Saint Olaf’s Church was considered the center of the Scandinavian community and was built in their state in 1519. It was dedicated to Saint Olaf of Norway and stories say that the builder of the church, also known as Olaf, died by falling from the upper tower after its completion. Between 1549 and 1625, this church remained the tallest tower in the world that was used as a lookout point and radio tower by the Soviet KGB.

Kumu art museum

This is one of Tallinn’s classical art museums, the largest in the Baltic and one of the most popular in Northern Europe. It is a branch of the Estonian Art Museum and there are four other branches with the Kumu art museum which houses the main offices. It obtained the first permanent building in 1921 despite having been founded in 1919. It houses exhibition halls and an educational center for art lovers and children.

Viru keskus is a modern shopping complex in Tallinn that is a must see and is a shopping center like no other in Tallinn that has five stores stocking a wide range of products from independent retailers. Some of the best items to buy here include designer clothes, souvenirs, furniture, perfumery, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and a grocery store in the center of the complex.
