A friend of mine once told me that your heart should beat to the rhythm of the city whose streets you walk through. The tremendous speed of your pulse as you cruise through New York City will make you feel more alive than ever. At the same time, it can give you the feeling that you are just an insignificant little breadcrumb when you look at the magnificent skyscrapers rising gloriously on the horizon. But whatever the feeling, you will surely never forget it!

A bit of confusion may also arise within you, but only in terms of where to start. There is so much to see, so much to feel that you cannot deprive yourself. Don’t worry, on sunny days the tour buses can do that for you, there are plenty of them in Times Square. At night, you can catch a fancy show on Broadway or have the time of your life at Madison Square Garden with a fantastic concert where you can party like a rock star.

New York City is a spiritual cocktail of different cultures and variety. You can literally meet people from all over the world as there is an endless stream of visitors on the streets. Simply have a conversation on the sidewalk or take her to any of the corner cafes or restaurants. You can literally feel anywhere in the world when the cuisine of a particular country hits your tongue, as New York City will offer you the world on a plate.

In case you intend to go home with a handful of new acquisitions, you’ll feel lucky, especially if you’re in town at the time of the big seasonal or holiday sales. From the glamorous storefronts on the avenues of Manhattan to the incredible prices uptown, you can indulge in shopping to pamper yourself. If you’re not in the mood to spend tons of money on fashion, you can at least spend a small sum on memorable Big Apple key chains, Statue of Liberty fridge magnets, I HEART NEW YORK t-shirts, a stylish pair of socks yellow taxi or whatever. your mind can imagine of the widely distributed and generously stocked souvenir shops.

You’ll never forgive yourself if you forget to charge your camera before taking a spin around the city that never sleeps. There are so many moments worth capturing. You can be photographed with almost any celebrity at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum; take fantastic landscape photos of the glorious architecture; take a self-portrait on top of the Empire State Building, caricature the Statue of Liberty, or capture the frivolity of Central Park.

New York City is huge and a couple of days will not be enough to see everything safely. But no matter where you go and what you do, don’t forget to admire because that feeling will stay with you forever.
