There are numerous speculations about the next iPhone or the so-called iPhone5 regarding the features that it might have. However, the official announcement on the name of the new Apple iPhone has not yet been made public, as well as the technological specifications. But still, this new phone has managed to acquire most of the media coverage and interest from techies around the world.

The truth is that no matter how much we speculate, only people inside Apple are aware of the technology that the next iPhone will have and the exact features that this phone will have. However, conversations are being whispered about what features this phone will have.

According to a news source, the following features and technical aspects are included in the new iPhone:

4 inch screen

There are various news reports revealing the screen size of 4 inches with a resolution of 1136×640. This news came from a source closely related to the company. If we look at the measurements of the device, it can be seen that it is relatively more stretched. In this way, apps that have a resolution of 960X640 will display the apps in a much better view. Comparatively, the existing 3.5-inch screen was slightly shorter to accommodate more icons and display apps. Now a user will see more icons on the home screen with a 4-inch screen. An additional row of menu icons can be easily added to each home screen menu.

LTE technology

For a long time there has been talk of incorporating LTE or Long Term Evolution technology. This technology allows to achieve network speed and effective communication. The new iPhone will have greater network capacity and will facilitate better communication. Another reason that seems to validate the inclusion of LTE is the criteria established by operators such as Verizon and AT&T to include high-end Smartphones in their network. These carriers are reportedly in a bid to switch smartphone carriers from 3G to 4G and make the transition faster. With Apple, the concept also seems to be catching up, which is why the news of an iPhone with LTE technology is being talked about in the media. In fact, you can see how new devices have accepted LTE, so phone designs seem to have changed drastically as well. Now the phones are relatively slimmer and have a good battery life compared to the phones that were released a year ago. This time it is Apple that is about to make the transition to this new technology.

NFC Communication

The NFC or Near Field Communication function enables device communication and fast content sharing. Contact is established by touching the devices, radio waves between two devices make it possible to exchange content easier and faster compared to other data exchange mode media. For Apple this technology is essential to enable Passbook functionality. In this way it would be easier to make payments through the mobile. The passbook function is capable of integrating Starbucks cards, tickets, loyalty cards and much more. However, it is not yet clear whether Apple will incorporate NFC in iOS6 or not.

The new dock connector

In previous Apple devices, the inclusion of a 30-pin dock connector made the device thicker. Another thing to note is that the file supports redundant technology like Firewire that Apple no longer uses. This is why it is essential that Apple comes up with a new file that is relatively thinner with pins that support current technology. Apple may present an 8-pin or 9-pin dock connector for iPhone, including the adapter or a dongle.

a better processor

Apple has been putting up with its A5 processor for a long time. However, now that Samsung is launching a quad-core processor (based on Cortex-A9) to facilitate better and faster performance, it is speculated that it will be included in the next device. Apple’s next processor could be called A6, supposed to look a lot like Samsung’s Exynos chips.

The above arguments indicate that Apple iPhone5 could include these technologies. However, it has not yet been made public whether all this will be officially included or not. Until the new device is released, all we can do is wait and see.
