When you write articles, you should know that your main keyword should be the first word in your title. This is used to make your visitor understand the importance of the term. This word or phrase is what your visitor searched for to find the information she’s been looking for, so put it up front for them to see; it will help them with their decision to read the article.

You must optimize your articles for both search engines and your readers. If you want your articles to rank highly, I highly suggest putting your main keyword or phrase as the first few words of your title. If it doesn’t fit logically at first, at least put it somewhere in the title.

Your main keyword should also be included in the first paragraph of the body of the article. The closer to the beginning of the paragraph, the better for search engines. Also, you should put this keyword in the last paragraph, as close to the end as possible.

Finally, spray this keyword several times in your article where it fits best. Don’t overdo it, though, with too many places or the article directory will tell you that you’ve violated their keyword density rule. That just means the number of keywords in your article divided by the total number of words.

For example, if you have 12 keywords in a 300 word article, your keyword density would be 4% (12 keywords divided by 300 x 100). Don’t let the math scare you, just don’t overdo it with your keywords and you’ll be fine.
