One of the most desirable needs of man is that of finances. This need can be so intense that some people may go to great lengths to acquire wealth and prosperity. However, we must realize the fact that God has made enough provision for His children to be prosperous and live happily. However, these provisions come with certain conditions attached.

Salvation

The soul of an individual is more precious to God than silver or gold. Until one man is saved, the subject of wealth and prosperity remains a mirage. God requires the genuine salvation of the soul before he can display the abundant treasures on high. A man who has not been born again can never receive the keys to prosperity.

The liberal soul will be fattened

When an individual is stingy, the possibility of that person receiving more from God is greatly hindered. One look at some people who are extremely wealthy will indicate a measure of disinterest. They are willing to give to those in need and less privileged around them. I am always amazed at Bill Gate’s humane nature towards the plight of children in Africa.

It has consistently contributed billions of dollars in support of communicable diseases in Nigeria and other developing countries. The more we give to others, the more God will continue to shower us with unusual prosperity. It is a natural law that can never be broken.

be happy with what you have

When a man is not satisfied with what God has blessed him with, the tendency is for that individual to doubt and become frustrated. The book of 1 Timothy 6: 6 tells us: “But great gain is godliness accompanied by contentment” What this implies is that the prosperity of an individual is deeply rooted in the level of contentment that he possesses.

Appreciation

What we do not appreciate will eventually depreciate over time. When you ignore the fact that God is the giver of wealth and do not recognize it in his life, his supposed wealth can depreciate over time. We must always remember to thank God, because it is he who gives us the power to obtain wealth. Some people believe that everything they have acquired in life is a direct function of their effort and sweat. On the contrary, nothing can be achieved on earth without the help of God.

Passion

The level of passion we have for something will determine the extent to which we pursue it. There must be a strong desire to please God before he can open his good treasury on our behalf. Passion is a more intense form of love, and the passion we have for God must replace the passion for material possession.
