1. The Owner- This should be the first thing a person sees when visiting your sales page. Your headline should grab your reader’s attention and make them say “Wow! I want to know more!”

2. The subtitle- The subheading is important because it helps support your headline. It also gives your visitor more reasons to keep reading.

3. Greeting- If you don’t know what to put here, the default greeting is “Dear Friend”. You really want your greeting to speak directly to your target audience.

4. The opening paragraph- An effective way to open your sales letter is to get straight to the point. You want your prospect to tune into the same old radio station we’ve all been listening to for years in network marketing: “WIIFM- What’s in it for me?”

5. Credibility- What gives you the right to tell them about this product or service? You need to make sure that you give them a reason to believe why your claims should be true or why they should believe you at all. You can also increase your credibility by mentioning famous people you have helped or special cases you may have worked on.

6. Testimonials- You need to have testimonials to back up your self-proclaimed credibility. In essence, testimonials transfer credibility.

7. Bullets- You may have seen them in some sales letters as small profit-driven prizes with check marks next to them. “Profit-driven” means that each of your small prizes should contain a benefit that the customer will receive from your product or service. It’s good to have at least 5-8 bullet points that are benefit-based and tell the customer why they should take action.

8. More Testimonials- More testimonials further increases your credibility and credibility. These testimonials also help get your customers excited about the benefits of your offer and reduce purchase anxiety.

9. The free bonus- Free bonuses are very powerful and increase your sales. People love free stuff. You want all of your free bonuses to have a high perceived value so that they help convert your prospects into customers.

10. The Money Back Guarantee- You want the money-back guarantee to take all your worries away. Tell them not to worry because they are not taking risks, you are.

11. The price- Before stating the price, we want to briefly tell our reader once again exactly what you will get.

12. Payment information- After stating the price, you tell them exactly what they need to do to place an order.

13. A Warning- This warns them of what will happen if they don’t take action right now!

14. Closing- Tell them exactly what you want them to do. Be very detailed and don’t beat around the bush. You want to have a strong close and give direct commands. People will listen as they are used to being told what to do anyway.

15. The Post Script- Tests have shown that the post script (ps) is the second most important thing behind the title, because many people will read the top of the page and then scroll to the bottom.

You can skip some of these parts and still make some sales, but each part has been shown to increase sales dramatically. Hopefully, if you find copywriting intimidating, this article will give you a basic understanding of how to write a sales letter.
