Many people think that using kitchen cabinet plans to redo their kitchen cabinets means that they have to follow the plan to the letter every step of the way. Following plans is important, but you can still unleash your creative juices in the making.

You may have a great idea of what you want your cabinets to look like, but can’t find a plan quite like it. Don’t worry about plans that kill your creativity. Take the plans as a starting point, to help you get the cabinets frame right and lower your cost estimate and go from there.

The beauty of making your own kitchen cabinets is that the interior is built on pretty much the same principle. The difference and the original touch that you are looking for is noticeable on the outside. So you still need to use blueprints to get started on the cabinets, and the rest is entirely up to you. The possibilities are endless to create the kitchen of your dreams.

Let me tell you what we did in our kitchen. My wife bought a nice china set a few months ago at a woodworking show that has wooden hummingbirds on the doors. The armor is really beautiful.

In fact, I was a bit annoyed that I bought it from someone else because I could have made it myself and it was quite expensive. But anyway, she fell in love with him, and on top of that, she used his own money, so what the heck…

Anyway, when it came time to redo our kitchen cabinets, we were trying to agree on a design and she suggested we finish them with the same designs as the blast doors. I replied that it would be too much work. I really didn’t have time to carve twenty-six tiny hummingbirds out of wood.

We finally made a deal: she would order the hummingbirds from the person who made the truss and I would make the cabinets in the same style as the truss doors, which wasn’t hard, and all we had to do in the end was glue the hummingbirds together. on cabinet doors.

So I got my set of plans and did all the framing using the same type of white pine as the frame. The doors had a good trim about 2 inches on the inside of the edges around them which I was able to do with no problem.

We couldn’t find the same type of handles as the armor, so what we did was change them and put the same ones on both the cabinets and the armor.

She gets her little hummingbirds a few weeks later and we just glue them on the same way as on the armor. After a good coat of lacquer, the result was absolutely amazing!

When we had friends and family visit us once everything was ready, they were all sure that he had not only made the cabinets but also the armor! Somehow I ended up getting credit for it even if someone else did it, not too bad!
