Wild boar or wild boar hunting is not allowed in the entire United States. It is limited to only 15 states. Popular states are Kentucky, South Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Alabama, Ohio, Florida, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and California. Each state has its own set of hunting laws. A successful hunting trip requires familiarity with all of them. If the hunter decides to hire the services of a shipowner with guides and hog hunting dogs, a certain amount must be disbursed as license fees.
Wild boar is found in regions that have dense scrub. Large in size, it is known to be very alert and fierce. In addition, the animal feels the danger of the entire group that stalks it and is therefore cautious enough to keep well hidden. He comes from a 30 year mixed lineage of Gray Hound, Pointer and Bull Terrier. Both wild boar and bush bulls are easy prey for this dog!
