Bach Flower Therapy is a wonderful way to treat tantrums in children. Bach flower remedies are very effective in helping a child feel frustrated and irritable. Babies and children develop mentally before they develop physically. This leads to annoyance and irritation because the child wants to do something that they are not mature enough to achieve.

Bach Flower Therapy is a branch of Homeopathic Medicine that uses highly diluted natural substances to stimulate the body to health. It offers a way to help the body regain balance and achieve optimal mental and emotional health. Bach Flower Essences are remedies made from edible flowers, so they are non-toxic and suitable for children of all ages.

When treating tantrums with Bach Flower Therapy, the most specific remedy or remedies should be selected according to the individual needs of the child. For Bach Flower Therapy to be effective, it must be continued for a period of four to six weeks or even months, depending on how deep the imbalance is. The recommended dose for a course of Bach Flower Therapy treatment is drops taken under the tongue four times a day outside of meals.

The following are instructions on how to prepare a treatment bottle for Bach Flower Therapy.

You will need the following:

1. Bach flower remedies.

2. An empty amber 30 ml dropper bottle (treatment bottle).

3. Brandy, glycerin or vinegar as a preservative (optional).

4. Spring water.

Select the appropriate Bach remedy and add two drops of each to the treatment bottle.

1. Select the Bach Impatiens Remedy for the child who is restless and has no patience. The child who needs this remedy wants things to happen quickly and to throw a tantrum when things don’t happen fast enough for him.

2. Select the Bach Vervain remedy if the child is too excited and cannot calm down. This remedy helps those children who have a great desire to learn and are very excited about everything, are always on the move and never stand still. When they can’t get what they want, they lose their temper. They also tend to continue when they are very tired and find ways to simulate themselves. In the end, they get so tired that throwing a tantrum is another way to move on.

3. Select the Bach Beech Remedy if the child becomes very intolerant of his own clumsiness and lack of ability. He gets upset if you try to comfort him or if you try to show him how to do it.

4. Select Bach Remedy Vine if the child has a strong mind and likes to dominate others and throws a tantrum when he can’t get his way.

5. Select Chicory Bach Remedy for the child who becomes very fussy and needs constant attention.

6. Select the Bach Holly remedy if the child has tantrums as a result of anger at a sibling or parent.

7. Select the Cherry Plum Bach Remedy when the child is really out of control.

Once you have added two drops of each selected remedy, add 1 ml of Brandy, glycerin or vinegar to preserve the Bach Flower Essence blend in the treatment bottle. This step is optional. If you prefer, you can store the treatment bottle in the fridge. One bottle of treatment will last 3-4 weeks.

Be sure to keep it in a dark, dry place at room temperature. Also avoid keeping your treatment bottle near a computer, television, cell phone, microwave oven, etc.

If in doubt, consult a homeopath, naturopath or Bach flower therapist near you. Please understand that Bach Flower Therapy is not intended to replace the advice of a doctor, but works in a complementary way.
