An inexpensive way to update your bathroom is by replacing your faucets. You might be surprised how something so small can make such a big difference to the overall feel of a room. Think about how nice it is to walk into an elegant bathroom with marble tiles and then imagine the rusty faucets. Did the faucets make a difference? Of course they did.

When looking at bathroom faucets, there are a variety of categories to consider:

  1. Assembly – installation of the faucet
  2. Handles, such as traditional, antique, modern, etc.
  3. Finish: polished bronze, polished brass, oil rubbed bronze, nickel, chrome, etc.
  4. Price: low cost to very expensive
  5. Brand-Moen, Danze, Detla, etc.

When making the decision to replace your bathroom fixtures, take a look at what is currently installed. Are they single hole, wall mounted, or some other design?

The type you buy will most likely depend on the model of sink and tub you have.

Mangoes are typically what you would look at next. You can choose from traditional, vintage, modern, and many other styles. When deciding on a style of handle to choose, think about the overall style of your home.

Next is the finish. You have a wide variety available to you. Would you like polished brass, chrome, copper, maybe oil rubbed bronze? The finish will depend a lot on the lifestyle of your family. For example, if you have young children, you’ll probably want a finish that won’t scratch or stain easily.

Once you’ve considered how to mount your bathroom faucet, the handles, and the finish, you’ll want to consider the price. What is your budget range? Are you on the low end or can you afford the more expensive higher end lines?

Last but not least is the brand name, this may not be as much of a consideration if you’re on a tight budget, but if you have some cash to spend you might want to take some time to associate with a few of the familiar brands, such as Moen, Dante and Grohe.

Please note that none of these factors should be discussed in any specific order, they are just suggestions. Often when you make small changes to your bathroom, like changing your bathroom faucets, your bathroom will look like new again.
