Are you already making money on the Internet?

How many of the last month’s commission checks can be directly linked to your business generating online efforts?

Why is the number not greater?

I would venture to say that the reason your real estate website doesn’t deliver the level of performance you want is not because of the things you’ve done wrong, but because of the things that you haven’t been able to prove at all.

My experience shows me that there are two types of real estate professionals on the Internet: those who are lucky and those who are persistent.

The first group is by invitation only. Membership in the persistent group is open to all.

Just to recap, the success of your entire marketing campaign depends on the quality of your USP – your unique selling proposition.

So if you’re STILL trading without a compelling one, stop reading right now and download a free copy of the guide, “The Real Estate Professional’s Guide to the Three Most Important Words in Internet Marketing.”

Don’t let another day go by fooling yourself into not attracting more business with less effort and fewer resources. If you’ve downloaded it before but lost it under a pile of papers, now is the time to commit to taking your USP.

Being persistent on the internet means you never, never stop experimenting … even when you’re successful. Because you can always be better, produce more, work less. So try new techniques in new combinations. Try old techniques with new twists.

Here are some quick ideas:

  • Create a new title on your home page. How does the response change in the next 30 days?
  • Rotate the “bait” as a free report, which you use for subscriptions and the test that gets the most comprehensive response.
  • Do a split test of Google Ads 2, 3, or 4 to find the best performing one …
  • Take your winning Google ad and do a split test on two different landing pages …
  • Get your photo off your website and fill your space with something that is more focused on your visitor … what happens to your response?

If you are constantly testing, I guarantee three things will happen.

  • You will fail more than you will succeed.
  • Your successes will more than pay for your failures.
  • You will learn a lot about your market … what motivates them? What are your hot spots?

But here is the main problem. Nobody wants to make a mistake … Nobody wants to “waste” money … Nobody wants to start down the wrong path only to find out that it is a waste of time AND money …

Nobody wants to fail.

But consider this:

Success comes from experience … experience comes from knowing how to make the right decisions … and knowing how to make the right decisions usually comes from … making the wrong decisions.

The way you get a successful real estate website is to start with one that sucks … and then test and improve, test and improve.

Anything worth doing is worth doing wrong.

You do not believe me?

The longer you wait to make the Internet a growing part of your real estate business, the more difficult, more expensive, and less profitable it will be to do later.

Believe it or not, the days of the internet like the Wild West are quickly coming to an end. The big shots, companies with far more money and resources than you or me are finally starting to take advantage of the myriad of opportunities on the internet.

Your real estate website is not a sculpture to “perfect yourself.”

Your real estate website is a tool that needs to be refined over and over again. It’s a living marketing device that should always be changing, improving, and learning … just like you.
