David “Avocado” Wolfe is considered by his peers to be one of the world’s leading authorities on nutrition. David Wolfe is the author of many nutrition books including Amazing Grace, Naked Chocolate, Eating For Beauty, and the Sunfood Diet Success System. This is David Wolfe and he shares with us three of the raw organic foods that we must have in our homes.

First on the list is garlic. Garlic is diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant and stimulant. It has many wonderful effects and healing powers and possesses stimulating and stomachic properties in addition to its other benefits.

As an antiseptic, garlic has already been recognized since it was used in war to control the suppuration of wounds. Its raw juice is extracted, diluted with water, and sterilized sphagnum moss swabs are placed and then applied to the wound. Due to this treatment during the war, the lives of thousands of men have been saved by its use.

It is also applied in ointments and lotions to disperse hard swelling. It is crushed and used as a poultice for scrofulous sores and is also said to prevent anthrax in cattle. Its other benefits include prevention of the common cold and flu, aiding in the control of high cholesterol levels, an effective natural mosquito repellant, a natural antibiotic, and a powerful antioxidant.

Then second on David Wolfe’s list is Echinacea. Echinacea is a purple echinacea and is the herb best known for boosting the immune system. Thousands of Europeans and Americans use echinacea against colds, flu, minor infections and other major and minor ailments. Echinacea, a native American herb, has a very impressive track record in laboratories and clinical research, as it is currently used to treat infectious diseases.

The main uses of echinacea are as follows. For the treatment of colds, coughs, flu and other respiratory conditions, enlarged lymph nodes, sore throats, urinary tract infections, other minor infections, fights herpes and candida, for wounds, regeneration of the skin and infections of skin, psoriasis, eczema and inflammatory skin conditions.

Echinacea increases the non-specific activities of the immune system, which means that it stimulates the general activity of the cells that are responsible for fighting all types of infections. Echinacea makes our own immune cells more active in attacking bacteria, viruses, and abnormal cells, including cancer cells.

Third, David Wolfe suggests herbs to have is the lomatium herb. The Lomatium herb is native to North America and is used medicinally for infections. The herb has been used by many Native American tribes to treat infections, particularly those that affect the lungs. It was used particularly in the southwestern United States during the 1917 influenza pandemic with good results. The Lomatium herb also has an antiviral effect and an antibacterial remedy.

So that’s it with David Wolfe and his herbs. I hope this one has helped you to have a healthy life in an organic and raw way. You have a good day!
